Yes, I'm serious. It's unrealistic and just downright unhealthy. We're not meant to have our ribs and the rest of our bones up against our skin. It's disgusting that the world's idea of beauty is a skeleton. It gives an unhealthy view to young girls and ruins the self esteem of anyone who isn't a size 0 or below. Men need to shut the fuck up and allow women to decide for themselves what is beautiful.
No, darling. ALL bodies are beautiful. Skinny, medium, fat, and everything in-between. Not all skinny women are under the pressure of men and society to look the way they do. Some genuinely like the look (and you don't have to starve yourself or live an unhealthy lifestyle to maintain it), others have ridiculously high metabolism (I have a few friends like this... super skinny and can't gain weight), and more are simply fit and lean.
It is not up to you to deem what is healthy or unhealthy for any particular individual. If you're fine with being the way you are, good for you. Don't condemn others for being skinny or fat or anything. Live and let live.
I agree with you, aisii a model on dA is like that. In my favorites there is a photo of a female vollyball player wearing bikni bottoms and body paint and this twit was freaking out becuese they could see her ribs, and I wrote them saying "Did'nt you notice her stomach muscles?"
The difference is that unless it IS a condition or unless it IS natural, a lot of girls starve themselves over this "perfect skinny" ideal. And no shit. All body types are beautiful. I know that. The difference is that society doesn't seem to. People act like the only way to be is to be skinny and only a few select people that I know actually think the way we do on the matter.
My biggest issue is that "everyone is beautiful" isn't represented in the media and it isn't represented in most societies.
I agree with you, I am sooo tired of all these models that have ribs sticking out, yet no one sees anything wrong with it. Nobody should be obese either, but there's nothing wrong with curves or some meat on your bones. I think I'm one of the few girls who is slightly overweight and HAPPY with my body.
